Lisa Bolyos writes, curates, and works in the broader context of artistic festivals and exhibitions. She is editor of a street newspaper in Vienna. In addition to short stories, her publications include the books Mich hat nicht gewundert, dass sie auf Mädchen steht. Gespräche mit Eltern queerer Kinder (2021), Immo Grief. Für eine kollektive Kultur des Trauerns um ein Zuhause (2022) and Der Lange Winter der Migration. Erzählungen, Comedy, Essays (2025). Her short story Höhere Gewalt. Eine Kollekte was shortlisted for the FM4 Wortlaut 2025 and in the same year she received the Emil Breisach Literature Prize (2nd place) for her work Zinnober.

She takes part in the Drama Lab 2026 with the WIENER WORTSTAETTEN.
