Johannes Schrettle, born in 1980, lives as a freelance author, theatre maker and performer in Graz. He is a founding member of the writers’ group “eigenbau” of Theater im Bahnhof (1997 – 2004) and of “zweite liga für kunst und kultur” (since 2007), as well as a board member of Forum Stadtpark since 2011.
He was awarded the BMUKK’s 2009 drama scholarship, the City of Graz Literature Prize, the Grabbe Prize of the City of Detmold, the Literar-Mechana literature scholarship among others.
