Peca Stefan, born in 1982, is one of the most internationally acclaimed Romanian playwrights of his generation. His plays have been translated into several languages and performed in Europe, the USA and Brazil. His works have been honoured several times, for example with the Innovation Award (“Romania 21”) from the Heidelberg Play Market in 2007. In 2010 he was invited to the Stückemarkt at the Berlin Theatertreffen (“Wire and Acrobats”). Peca Ştefan is a collaborating artist of PopUP Theatrics, NYC. His play “The Sunshine Play” was shown by WIENER WORTSTAETTEN in 2010 as a German-language premiere.
