Barbara Kadletz, born in 1981, lives and works as a bookseller in Vienna. When she is not selling other people’s books, she is writing her own texts or talking about literature – as a presenter, reviewer or in her weekly blog: “Das Buch zum Wochenende”. She has previously published theatre plays (“Eurostar” with Ursula Knoll) and short stories. 2nd place in the FM4 literature competition “Wortlaut 2018”, shortlisted for the Book Blog Award 2019 & 2020.
Her debut novel “Im Ruin” will be published by Edition Atelier in February 2021.
As part of the Tour of the text, Barbara Kadletz worked with Ursula Knoll on their joint play “Falten im Anthropozaen”, which was presented in a staged reading as part of the Wortstattnächte 2021.
